If you're looking for a new car, Volkswagen has a lineup of options to choose from. In fact, you'll have five new models to consider, including the Jetta, Jetta GLI, Arteon, Golf R, and Golf GTI.

2022 VW Jetta

The highest-selling Volkswagen sedan by far is the Jetta. For over 40 years, this compact car has provided over 10 million drivers around the world with affordable, dependable transportation. Why is the Jetta so popular? It's practical and well-built without being unnecessarily gaudy or overproduced. When you buy the Jetta, you know what you're paying for - and you're not paying much for it.

For 2022, the Jetta has some appearance changes to make its form smoother and more modernized, both inside and out. The automaker continues to offer better digital and connected technology in the Jetta with a bigger touch screen and App-Connect capability. Fuel efficiency remains a priority for the small sedan, as it 43 mpg on the highway with its 1.5-liter engine.[1]

2022 VW Jetta GLI

How is the Jetta GLI different from the regular Jetta? It makes the compact sedan faster, more powerful, and more fun to drive. Unlike the standard Jetta that's designed to be practical and simple, the Jetta GLI is design to be fun. This is the car you want if you enjoy zipping through traffic and impressing your friends when you take them for a ride through town.

The basic engine is replaced with a 2.0-liter turbocharged direct-injection TSI® engine that boosts acceleration and responsiveness, giving the GLI a peppy spirit. DCC® adaptive chassis control lets you feel every curve in the road. VAQ limited-slip front differential lock ensures torque is optimally distributed. And let's not forget about the sporty interior with ambient lighting, contouring performance seats with contrast stitching, paddle shifters, and blacked-out elements.

2022 VW Arteon

As the VW Passat has been discontinued in the U.S. this year, the Arteon is the biggest sedan you'll find in the Volkswagen lineup. A higher-end option for sophisticated drivers, the Arteon is designed to appeal to drivers who want a traditionally executive car. It's spacious, cultured, and packed with high-quality materials.

The 2022 Arteon adds a 300-horsepower engine as its only motor, giving the car top-tier performance to match its top-tier sound system, digital tech, and luxury elements. While the Arteon is a higher-priced model than other VW sedans, it's still more affordable than comparable executive sedans from premium luxury brands - and offers many of the same features at that competitive price.

2022 VW Golf R

Now that the basic Golf is no longer available, you have two alternative options: the Golf R and Golf GTI. What's the difference? The Golf R is higher-priced because Volkswagen pulled out all the stops when designing it. By the numbers, this is the best Golf ever produced. It's truly a hot hatchback that's ready to wow you.

Take a quick look at the performance upgrades, and you'll see what we mean. A 315-horsepower turbo motor? Check. A DSG® dual-clutch transmission? Check. Exclusive torque vectoring 4MOTION® all-wheel-drive system? Check. 4.5-second 0-60 time? Check. You won't find anything underwhelming about the Golf R.

2022 VW Golf GTI

Don't think the high price of the Golf R is for you? You can still get a comparable experience in the Golf GTI for a lot less money. It shares many similarities with the fully loaded Golf R but at a price more drivers in Bozeman can afford.

The style of the Golf GTI is youthful and vibrant, embodying an enthusiasm that younger drivers tend to prefer over the gentility of the Golf R. The GTI isn't as strong by the numbers when compared to the Golf R, but you won't notice much of a difference behind the wheel. Its light weight, snappy steering, and nimble suspension still provide plenty of enjoyment.
